2026 Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon: 5 km date and venue checks
Check your distance before arranging the trip. The event homepage and AIMS calendar list Sunday 6 December 2026. A separate organiser notice published on 12 June 2026 schedules the 5 km for Saturday 5 December 2026, with an estimated 16:30 start, subject to operational changes. Compare the latest distance-specific announcement with your registration confirmation; the homepage date alone is insufficient.
Check three map locations
The homepage labels the start Lê Duẩn–Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm. Techcombank’s blog section for the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City event lists kit collection on 4–5 December and a Marathon Village at The Global City, addressed in that source as Đỗ Xuân Hợp, Phường Bình Trưng. The organiser FAQ still directs readers to the 2026 handbook for location confirmation. These references do not establish the final kit venue or prove that collection, start and finish share one location.
Check the document year
On 29 October, the linked event schedule was labelled a 2025 reference, and the athlete-handbook page offered the 2025 booklet. A 2026 site banner does not make the linked map current.
- Confirm your distance’s race date and start time. For the 5 km, also ask for the applicable kit-collection deadline and whether your planned pickup is before the race.
- Save separate links for kit collection, start and finish; check whether any share a location.
- Choose accommodation and transport after checking those locations. Road closures and travel times are not confirmed here.
Ask: “Could you share the latest 2026 [distance] race date and map links for the start, finish and race-kit collection?”
For general city planning, see airport Grab, walking from 15B and evening options. These are not race-shuttle instructions.
