Choose the station before buying a ticket

Metro Line 1 connects Bến Thành and Suối Tiên. For a visit around Lê Thánh Tôn, compare the pedestrian route from Nhà hát Thành phố (Opera House) and Ba Son with your exact destination. A station name alone does not identify the most convenient exit. Save the destination pin, then check the street map at the station before going through the exit.

For Rabbit Bar, use 15B/32 Lê Thánh Tôn, not just “Le Thanh Ton”. The alley number matters: a route to the main street still leaves the final approach to the venue. Our entrance and map guide helps with that last section. We have not timed a current station-to-door walk, so no exact walking time is promised here.

Tickets and contactless payment

Visa’s announcement of 13 March 2025 describes contactless Visa payments at Line 1 gates and ticket counters, including globally issued cards, phones and wearables. It also identifies the HCMC Metro HURC app as an in-app payment option. This establishes the supported system; it is not a guarantee that every visitor’s card or device will work.

1. Check the destination and current fare shown at the station.
2. If using a bank card, check that international/contactless use is enabled and follow the gate instructions. Ask staff how to enter and exit with the same payment medium.
3. If the tap is rejected, speak to station staff or use the ticket counter instead of repeatedly tapping.
4. Keep the ticket or payment medium available until you have exited.

We do not quote an unverified current fare or expired free-travel promotion. Cash versus cashless pricing and pass terms should be checked on the station’s current fare display.

Separate the outbound ride from the late return

Before boarding, check the last departure from the station and in the direction you will actually use. The end of service at a terminal is not necessarily the departure time at your stop. Weekend, holiday and special-event arrangements may differ; no fixed last-train time is verified in this guide.

Rabbit Bar’s regular hours are 20:00–04:00, subject to special-date confirmation. That does not mean the metro operates until 04:00. For a late finish, prepare a car pickup or taxi return, save your hotel address, and keep enough phone battery to locate the driver. Choose a pickup point that is accessible to the vehicle, rather than assuming it can enter every small alley.

A practical arrival plan

Before leaving your hotel, save four things: your departure station, intended arrival station, the venue entrance pin and the return address. If rain, luggage or limited walking mobility makes the station-to-door section inconvenient, compare a car journey for that section. Verify lift access and the exit you need with station staff.
